Engraving Policy

We engrave exactly what you type

Capital letters, lowercase letters, accents, nicknames, spacing — whatever appears in the personalization field is what appears on the piece. We do not correct spelling, change capitalization, or make judgment calls about what you probably meant. There is no spell-check on a necklace.

Read the names back once before you order. It takes five seconds and it is the single most common reason a personalized gift disappoints.

Your window to fix it

Your order confirmation email shows the exact text we received. If something is wrong, contact us within 12 hours and we will correct it at no charge before it goes to engraving.

After that, production has usually started. We will still remake the piece once at half price.

If we make the mistake

If the engraving does not match what you typed, send us a photo. We remake it free and you keep the first one. You don't need to send anything back.

What we can't engrave

Some characters don't reproduce on metal at this size — emoji, most symbols, and certain non-Latin scripts. If your text contains something we can't engrave, we'll contact you before producing rather than guessing.

Character limits

Each product page states how many names or characters that piece accepts. Text longer than the limit cannot be added to the cart.
